Anglo-French Small Venery, recently created, resulting from the cross of the Harrier with the Poitevin, Porcelaine, Petit Gascon-Saintongeois and Petit bleu de Gascogne. Today, the majority of large hunting teams consist of Anglo-French dogs. The Anglo-French has benefited from the best of the breeds used in the crosses. English blood in particular brought structure, bone, and vigor; French blood brought nose and throat. The Anglo-French is a hunting enthusiast, resistant, powerful, fast, brave and tenacious. It can work on all terrains. Large and small venery dog. Their training must be firm. Anglo-French are not suited to city life. Pack dogs, they live in kennels. They need space and exercise. Regular brushing. Watch the ears.
