Terrestrial tortoises of the genus Testudo are primarily vegetarian (phytophagous). In nature, they have a diet often very diverse and primarily herbivorous, but also folivorous and frugivorous (the weight of fruit should not exceed 10% of the total weight of the weekly ration).
