This genus comprises parakeets with predominantly green plumage, with an elongated body of 22 to 30 cm in length and a mass of 50 to 100 g. With the exception of the Tiriba Conure, all species display scaled feathers on the front of the neck and upper chest. These birds show no sexual dimorphism, except the Ochre-marked Parakeet.
