A story told
The Sussex Spaniel was the first spaniel to be considered a breed in England in the 18th century. During World War II, the breed nearly disappeared and owes its survival only to the efforts of a few passionate British hunting dog breeders. In France, the breed has only two or three breeders and the current population is around a hundred subjects with only two to three litters per year.
