The Puggle is a dog resulting from a cross between a female Beagle and a male Pug. The word "puggle" comes from a contraction of the words "beagle" and "pug", which means "pug" in English. It is therefore a cross between two purebred dogs. The first hybrid crosses occurred in the 1980s, but its commercialization began in the 2000s.

The Puggle can weigh between 15 and 30 pounds (approximately 7 kg and 14 kg) at its adult size and measure between 10 and 15 inches (25 to 38 centimeters) at the withers.

Chapter 1
Getting to know the Puggle
Character
Daily temperament
Tender and loving to have fun, they are very active and need love. They love human company and cannot stand being alone for long periods. Thus they are an excellent choice for families with children and other animals. These dogs are very active: thus long walks do not displease them.
Physical
Breed standard
With a wrinkled brow and solid body, Puggles can have different coat colors: fawn, black and white (some even have up to three colors). Their ears are drooping, which gives them the appearance of a roquet.

Training
Training your pet
Maintenance
Daily care
With short hair, grooming the Puggle is relatively simple. It just takes a few minutes of brushing with a soft-bristled brush once a week to remove dead hair. However, attention should be paid to the ears which are prone to infections.
