Origins & history
A story told
The history of the Lancashire Heeler is somewhat obscure, but it is possible that it originated from the fortuitous cross between Welsh Corgis, which herded flocks from Wales to the Ormskirk region, with Manchester Terriers. The Lancashire Heeler has just been provisionally recognized by the FCI as of May 30, 2016. The standard, currently only in the English version, is available on the FCI website.
