The FCI nomenclature (International Cynological Federation) serves for better classification of dog breeds. All breeds are divided into ten groups, themselves subdivided into sections where the dog's breed is found. Each breed also has a number, designating it uniquely. For example, the Beauceron is found in group 1, section 1 and bears number 44; the Cane Corso is in group 2, section 2-1 (Molosses).
