The Cavoodle or Cavapoo is a mixed dog breed, of designer dog type, between a Poodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. It became particularly popular through crossings in Australia in the late 1990s. The Cavoodle has since become one of the most popular dogs in Australia. They are raised to be small, healthy dogs, outgoing, with a coat that sheds little, who get along well with children. This popularity is due to its temperament, its robustness and its low weight.

Chapter 1
Getting to know the Cavoodle
Character
Daily temperament
The temperament of the Cavoodle is gentle and affectionate. With an average size of 28 to 33 cm, it is an excellent companion for children. As young puppies, they are very curious and have a short attention span, although they can learn the rules quickly.
Physical
Breed standard
The Cavoodle is a cross between the Toy or Miniature Poodle and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, displaying the characteristics of both dogs. It has a coat in brown, blonde, white, black, golden and fawn colors, a round face and long ears. Some puppies will tend to resemble a Poodle more, while others will have the characteristics of the Cavalier.
