Images are not never shared with third parties. No photo is stored after processing.

Third-party services

The following services power the application:

Supabase

Database, authentication, and storage. Hosted in the European Union.

Google OAuth

OpenAI (AI)

Ingredient analysis and nutritional classification. Only product data is sent—no personal data.

Open Food Facts

Public food product database. Only the barcode is sent.

None of these services receive data about you or your pet.

Why we collect this data

Personalized score — Adapt the nutritional score to your pet's profile
Safety alerts — Alert you if an ingredient is dangerous for your species
Adapted portions — Calculate daily rations based on weight and activity
History — Find scanned products and track dietary progress
Improvement — Correct product data reported as inaccurate

We never sell your data. No trackers.

Data security

Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) on all exchanges
Secure authentication with encrypted tokens
Passwords hashed (never stored in plain text)
Data access restricted by Row Level Security
No personal data in server logs

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept as long as your account is active.

Right to deletion

Delete your account anytime from My account → Delete my account. A grace period of 72 hours lets you cancel. After that, all your data is permanently deleted.

Protection of minors

SokoScan is not intended for children under 16. If you notice a minor has created an account, contact us at [email protected] to request deletion.
